We are very excited to bring you this genetic pairing. Y2 Kedakanami 031 is sired by the famed Shigefuku who is the only line bred Kedaka bull of the original Japanese imports. Shigefuku was a 75% Kedaka / 25% Tottori bull that was raised in Tottori prefecture and never left Japan, only his semen left for Australia and eventually the US. Shigefuku has been used widely in Australia and most notably by Westholme. Shigefuku represents the ONLY 100% Kedaka/Tottori bull with genetics available in the US or AU. According to Australian Wagyu Association, there has been a shift over the last decade and a half in Japan back to larger framed and balanced growth sires of Kedaka lineage. Additionally, 7 of the top 10 Japanese terminal Wagyu sires over the last decade are all of Kedaka heritage. This trend is another reason why the Kedaka cow is valued above all others in Japan.

Y2 Kedakanami 031 is also steeped in marbling genetics through his dam: JC Itoshigenami 010 sire by TF Itoshigenami 148. TF 148 is one of the most widely used sires in Australia and is considered to be a top 3 bull for fullblood and terminal Wagyu production. He is known for passing fine snow flake marbling to his progeny and is the highest percentage Kumanami strain of Tajima Wagyu outside of Japan. Additionally, JC 010 has growth genetics found through CHR Takazakura 101L. CHR 101L combines the growth and marbling attributed to Takazakura (one of the few grandsons of Yasufuku J930) with several famous Takeda lineages including TF Kikuhana, TF Itohana, TF Itomichi, Dai 3 Kiyohime (Kumanami strain), Kensei (Kedaka heritage), and the famous Japanese grand champions Ezokintou. Rounding out JC 010's parentage are Michifuku and Fujiko. The famous Michifuku is a 100% Tajima bull sired by Monjiro who has extensive carcass data and is widely used in the US to add growth while adding extreme marbling. Fujiko is sired by Haruki II who adds more Kedaka heritage through Kenshin by Kensei. Fujiko's dam was Okutani, one of the original import dams to come to the US from Japan who is also of Kumanami heritage through her sire Okushige by Shigeshigenami.

The combination of these two outstanding Wagyu will yield the desired result of increased growth and decreased days on feed, all while maintaining the superior marbling and increased carcass yield through the infusion of Kedaka genetics coupled with the fine snowflake marbling potential of the Kumanami strain in almost every branch of the family tree. Y2 Kedakanami 031 combines over 38% Kedaka & 12% Tottori for growth and maternal genetics with over 39% Kumanami strain genetics known for fine snow flake marbling.

Sire: ETJ 005 Shigefuku J1822 (FB 6538)
B3FU, CHSFU, CL16FU, F11FU

This famed sire is the highest Kedaka lineage bull available in the U.S. at 75% Kedaka / 25% Tottori and has had semen sale in 2015 for over $2,000 per straw. Shigefuku J1822 progeny display excellent growth, excellent milk, and balanced frame. In Japan, the Kedaka lineage cows are held in the highest regard.

Dam: JC Ms Itoshigenami 010 (FB 11113)
B3F, CHSF, CL16F, F11F

We are very excited about this dam owned and bred by Jim and Joan Chisholm at Chisholm Cattle Company. Her son, JC Ruenami 140, was the 2016 Houston Reserve Grand Champion. JC Ruenami 140 also has the largest ribeye scans of all contestants. Additionally, JC Itoshigenami 010 is sired by TF Itoshigenami 148 who in a recent Australian study comparing half-blood and fullblood Wagyu sires, Itoshigenami was ranked as #3, while one of his sons held the top spot. Furthermore, Itoshigenami contributes much of his renowned heritage to the Kumanami strain of Tajima genetics known for fine snow flake marbling.

In his progeny we have seen  marked increases to growth while still maintaining superior marbling for fullblood Wagyu and commercial cattle. Y2 Kedakanami D031 has a proven track record of passing these traits to pass this growth to his F1, F2, and Fullblood Wagyu progeny.

Conventional semen and limited quantities of female sexed semen available now!

Primeline Z044 is a son of the famed TF Itozurudoi 151 who weighed 2,420 lbs. and boasted 92% Prime in F1 production. Z044 combines the superior genetics of TF Itozurudoi 151, JVP Kikuyasu 400, JVP Fukutsuru 068, TF Kikuhana, and the famed Fujiko.

He is a powerhouse of foundation genetics and has been used over the last several years in F1 production. We have many of his progeny on the ground and he has maintained lowered birth weights and displays superior marbling. Z044 is long and lean and displays much of what you would expect from a TF 151 son.

Primeline Z044 weighs 1350# but carries great length and displays great temperament. He is a potent bull and has never failed to cover when given a chance. Z044 is strong fronted with good length through the loin much like his sire Itozuru Doi. Additionally, Z044 has several flush brothers working in F1 programs throughout Texas. All have successfully show why TF Itozuru Doi 151 sons are so highly sought after.

Full possession of Primeline Z044 was purchased by Winters Family Beef of Brady, TX where he is currently working in their herd.
