We are proud to offer one of the most exciting young Akaushi bulls to be produced in recent years: SOR Big Al. He is a long bodied, powerfully constructed, deep ribbed, and well footed son of Heartbrand Big Al (FB 2998) over UKB Ms Hikari Homare J30E (FB 11800). We are very excited about the potential of this outstanding son of HB Big Al and UKB Ms Hikari Homare J30E.
His remarkable pedigree boasts a combination of linebreeding with a smattering of outcross genetics which are not commonly seen in the US Akaushi herd. SOR Big Al is linebred to Dai 10 Mitsumaru through HB Big Al and Hikari, and Dai 2 Shigenami through Namimaru (half brother of Shigemaru). SOR Big Al's pedigree also boasts outcross genetics through his dam UKB Ms Hikari Homare J30E who is the grand daughter of original import dam JVP 27 Homare 128 (FB 2114) imported in 1994. The J30E maternal line consistently shows to pass on unsurpassed length and structure to progeny of this line. |

Translated as "The Creator", this moderately framed full blood Akaushi bull is a filled with front line genetics. He was sired by Hikari, a son of Dai 10 Mitsumaru over Kazutomo who was a combination of the famed Dai 2 Shigenami and Dai 10 Shigekawa lines. C221's second sire again ties to these two famous Akaushi lines through Shigemaru who was a son of Dai 2 Shigenami over a Dai 10 Shigekawa daughter. The second dam of this bull is the famed Dai 8 Marunami who was one of the original import dams of the breed to the U.S.
This bull not only boasts superior Akaushi genetics, but is also free of all known genetics disorders. C221 at 4 years old weighted 1504# and while being moderately framed still boasts excellent length and structural correctness. He has produced some of the highest growth progeny in the US including growth standout WCC Chubby Buddy weighing in over 1100# at yearling and over 2300# mature with a hip height of 61 inches. Seisakushu C221 is an excellent bull to pair with dams with Dai 8 Marunami influence behind them. Seisakushu C221 is registered in both the U.S. and Australia. |
He was produced from the idea of concentrating the blood of FB424 – “Dai 10 Mitsumaru”. His sire, FB2455 – “Hikari” was born on February 25, 1993 in Kumamoto Prefecture and was one of the three Red Wagyu Bulls exported by Mannet for Englewood Farms in 1994. Breedplan shows that “Hikari” is a breed leading sire for 200 day weights, 400 day weights, and 600 day weights.
His dam, FB11873 – “Kaedemaru” was born on January 01, 1995 making her the first Fullblood Red Wagyu born outside of Japan. “Kaedemaruʼs” sire, “Dai 10 Mitsumaru” was proven in Kumamoto and his proof consisted of 73 head, where 41.1% graded higher than BMS of 5, ranking him first in 1998. The average age of the animals in his proof were 22.9 months with an average daily gain of 2.2 lbs. By intensifying the bloodlines of “Dai 10 Mitsumaru”, the progeny from this sire have been spectacular and physically appealing. Only a limited amount of semen is available on this sire. |
Hikari came to America carrying on the strengths of the dominant Japanese sires Dai 10 Mitsumaru and Namimaru in one package. Hikari sons excel in calving ease and his daughters are some of the heaviest milking Akaushi females in the breed. His impact on the breed will be long lasting. Hikari is F11 carrier.

Tamamaru is one of the most widely used and predictable Akaushi bulls due to his consistency and legendary mother, Dai 8 Marunami. There's no other foundation sire that can add the length of body and stoutness of structure. His sire, Dai 5 Tamanami Tokkyu 96 provides a slight outcross to the rest of the 1994 importation. Tamamaru is a paternal sib to the foundation cow Dai 9 Kobai 73. Tamamaru is F11 free.

Big Al was the first bull born outside of Japan in January of 1995. He is almost a full brother in to Hikari being sired by previous #1 Japanese Akaushi bull Dai 10 Mitsumaru and out of a Namimaru daughter named Akiko. Big Al generates tremendous performance without compromising calving ease and maternal strengths. He is considered the most balanced bull in the Akaushi breed and the proof is in his progeny.
