Y2 Ms Shigefuku 032 is sired by the famed Shigefuku J1822 who is the only line bred Kedaka bull of the original Japanese imports. Shigefuku was a 75% Kedaka / 25% Tottori bull that was raised in Tottori prefecture and never left Japan, only his semen left for Australia and eventually the US. Shigefuku has been used widely in Australia and most notably by Westholme.
Shigefuku J1822 weighed 1735 at 23 months of age and is believed to have a mature weight of over 2400#. Shigefuku represents the ONLY 100% Kedaka/Tottori bull with genetics available in the US or AU. Shigefuku J1822 was sired by the famous Dai 20 Hirashige who has become the foundation for Wagyu genetics in Japan. According to Australian Wagyu Association, there has been a shift over the last decade and a half in Japan back to larger framed and balanced growth sires of Kedaka lineage. Additionally, 7 of the top 10 Japanese terminal Wagyu sires over the last decade are all of Kedaka heritage. This trend is another reason why the Kedaka cow is valued above all others in Japan.
Picture
Y2 Ms Shigefuku 032 is also steeped in marbling genetics through her dam: JC Itoshigenami 010 sire by TF Itoshigenami 148. TF 148 is one of the most widely used sires in Australia and is considered to be a top 3 bull for fullblood and terminal Wagyu production. He is known for passing fine snow flake marbling to his progeny and is the highest percentage Kumanami strain of Tajima Wagyu outside of Japan combined with growth through 25% Itozakura genetics. Additionally, JC 010 has growth genetics found through CHR Takazakura 101L. CHR 101L combines the growth and marbling attributed to Takazakura (one of the few grandsons of Yasufuku J930) with several famous Takeda lineages including TF Kikuhana, TF Itohana, TF Itomichi, Dai 3 Kiyohime (Kumanami strain), Kensei (Kedaka heritage), and the famous Japanese grand champion female Ezokintou. Rounding out JC 010's parentage are Michifuku and Fujiko. The famous Michifuku is a 100% Tajima bull sired by Monjiro who has extensive carcass data and is widely used in the US to add growth while adding extreme marbling. Fujiko is sired by Haruki II who adds more Kedaka heritage through Kenshin by Kensei. Fujiko's dam was Okutani, one of the original import dams to come to the US from Japan who is also of Kumanami heritage through her sire Okushige by Shigeshigenami.

Y2 Dai-Hachi Kedaka E046:

Highest Kedaka Genetics in U.S.

We are proud to present the highest Kedaka lineage heifers available in the U.S.: Y2 Dai-Hachi Kedaka E046 & E047.

Y2 Dai-Hachi Kedaka E046 & E047 were produced through a father - daughter pairing of Shigefuku J1822 producing progeny with over 57% Kedaka & 18% Tottori by tracing eight times to the famed bull Kedaka known for superior growth and marbling. Kedaka through Dai 20 Hirashige produced the #1 bull currently used in Japan: Hirashigekatsu.

Additionally, Y2 Dai-Hachi Kedaka E046 & E047 maintains Kumanami heritage through her maternal great-grandsire Itoshigenami who is know for his abundance of marbling and marbling fineness which made the Kumanami line famous. He is considered one of the top three bulls in Australia and his family of Kumanami is widely used in Japan. In the U.S., the this line of Wagyu genetics was made famous from the original import cows of Suzutani, Okutani, and Rikitani.

We specifically bred this pedigree to provide a solid foundation of Kedaka growth and Kumanami marbling to breed to established Kedaka heritage bulls such as ETJ 001 Hirashigetayasu J2351. Through this combination, we hope to create progeny which provide high growth without sacrificing marbling potential while outcrossing to the vast majority of Wagyu in the U.S.

As you can see, Shigefuku J1822 can improve capacity, depth, and frame of his daughters as seen through Jc Ms Shigefuku 109. Y2 Dai-Hachi Kedaka E046 & E047 will provide an excellent maternal base, above average frame and structure, and represent Kedaka 8 times in her pedigree. We believe coupling this with proven high growth & marbling bulls like ETJ 001 Hirashigetayasu J2351 will provide the next generation of Wagyu with outcross genetics to increase heterosis, a plethora of Kedaka heritage while maintaining consistent marbling, and increased growth that can not only benefit the Wagyu breed but also F1/F2 programs.

Look for genetics to be available from her in the coming years!

We are very excited about UKB Ms i114. She is an example of an outcross donor cow. i114 is very long and deep bodied with enormous capacity. She is sound in the hoof and very docile. Don't let the pictures fool you, she is one of the largest Wagyu cows we have ever seen.

Her sire is UKB Dia 6 Yosue bred by Bruce Hemmingsen of Ultimate Kobe Beef, LLC. by combining the famous Westholme genetics of ETJ 006 Dai 6 Seizan, ETJ 003 Kitateruyasudoi, and ETJ 002 Itomoritaka over a Kedaka influenced Japanese cow Kitamitiyo JI720 Y9.

ETJ 006 Dai 6 Seizan's genetics are known to bring maternal qualities to the forefront as seen in the Westholme herd. Dai 6 Seizan does not have semen available in the US and only occasionally in Australia. UKB Dia 6 Kitaseki represents the only link to Seizan lineage.

UKB Ms i114
i114's paternal grand sire is ETJ 003 Kitateruyasudoi J2810. ETJ 003 was 100% Tajima and was imported to Australia directly from Japan by Westholme. He is well established in Australia as a consistent and fine marbling bull. ETJ 003 was bred to Westholme Sumiyo 9G: a daughter of ETJ 002 Itomoritaka and a Kedaka influence dam.

The paternal side of i114's lineage is stacked with Westholme products whose combinations has yielded powerful results across the Pacific. We are looking to continue this through planned breeding to ETJ 001 Hirashigetayasu JJ2351.

UKB i114's dam was bred by Japanese Venture Partners by combining one of the largest Tajima bulls to leave Japan in JVP Kikuyasu 400 with JVP Ms Yasushge 6208. JVP Ms Yasushge 6208 is a daughter of JVP Yasutanisakura 931 bred to a JVP foundation Kedaka influence dam in JVP Shigehime 208 sired by Dai 20 Hirashige son Fukushige. Shigehime 208 is the half sister to JVP Yuriko-1 050 who is known for growth and maternal.

JVP Ms Yasushge 6208 is the dam of the impressive young Kedaka influenced bull UKB Mr Yasushigefuku 6208G.
i114 is a powerhouse of potent genetics stacked with growth, maternal, milk, carcass, and marbling. One of her progeny was donated by Bruce Ekstrom of Zen 10 Cattle Company for the brisket lunch of the 2015 Wagyu National Convention in Ocala, FL.

i114 has had multiple fullblood progeny that have graded   prime ++ or higher. She also has a son by Sanjirou currently being used for terminal production in Florida.
